Line Up Surf Adventures has been running these popular day trips for years, helping Sydney surfers escape the city and discover the joy of riding waves in pristine surroundings. This is more than just a surf lesson—it's a full day of coastal immersion!



The Day's Schedule
1
6:15 AM
Departure from Line Up HQ at Dee Why Beach. We'll load up the boards, grab a coffee, and hit the road south while the sun rises.

7:30 AM
Meet at the Southern Gateway Centre in Bulli Tops (for those making their own way down).

8:30 AM
Arrival at The Farm, beach briefing, and morning surf session with expert coaching.

11:00 AM
Morning tea break and relaxation on the beach. Refuel with delicious snacks and drinks.

12:00 PM
Optional beach walk to explore the stunning coastline or continue surfing.

1:00 PM
Lunch time! Enjoy a tasty meal with your new surf mates.

3:30 PM
Pack up and head back to Sydney, arriving at Dee Why by approximately 5:30 PM.

Surf Coaching

Delicious Food
Morning tea and a satisfying lunch to keep your energy levels up throughout the day. We take care of the food so you can focus on catching waves and having fun.
Transport
Optional transport from Sydney is available. Hop in our comfortable van from Dee Why Beach and enjoy the scenic coastal drive to Shell Harbour.
Equipment
Boards and wetsuits are provided, so you don't need to worry about bringing your own gear. We have a range of boards suitable for different skill levels.
The Farm: A World-Class Surf Destination
The Farm (Killalea Beach) is one of NSW's most consistent and beautiful surf breaks. Located in the stunning Shell Harbour region, this protected National Surfing Reserve offers perfect waves for all skill levels.
What makes The Farm special is its reliable beach break with both left and right-handers, set against a backdrop of rolling green hills and pristine coastline. The beach's unique position means it can catch swells that miss other nearby spots.
Fun fact: The Farm got its nickname because it was once part of a working cattle farm before becoming the surf paradise it is today!

Take a break from surfing to explore the beautiful coastline around The Farm. The headland walk offers spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding landscape, perfect for stunning photos and a bit of exercise between surf sessions.
Chill Time
Sometimes the best part of a surf day is just relaxing on the beach, watching the waves, and soaking up the atmosphere. We build in plenty of time to unwind, chat with fellow surfers, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
For Surfers of All Levels
Beginners
Never surfed before? No worries! Our patient coaches will teach you the basics of paddling, positioning, and standing up. The Farm has gentle waves perfect for your first surfing experience.
Intermediates
Already comfortable catching waves but want to improve? We'll help you refine your technique, work on turns, and find the best waves to match your ability.
Advanced
Experienced surfers will love The Farm's variety of waves. Our coaches can offer tips on reading the break, positioning for the best takeoffs, and adding new maneuvers to your repertoire.
What to Bring Along
Swimmers and Towel
Wear your bathers under your clothes and bring a towel for after your surf.
Sunscreen and Hat
The Australian sun is intense! Protect yourself with high SPF sunscreen and a hat for beach time.
Water Bottle
Stay hydrated throughout the day with your own refillable water bottle.
Camera
Capture the memories of your epic day at The Farm (waterproof if you have one!).


We provide all the surfing equipment you'll need, including boards and wetsuits. Just bring your personal items and enthusiasm!

If you have your own board and prefer to use it, you're welcome to bring it along. Just let us know in advance so we can arrange transport if needed.
